When did book groups start having waiting lists?! I’m rather hoping the one I emailed has a space open, because they’re reading Patrick Gale’s Notes From an Exhibition and meeting in Alexandra Palace.

Has anyone else had any experiences - good, bad or otherwise – of book groups? Other than the rather fabulous sitcom that I rather fancy re-watching now…

waiting lists? wow. I’ve belonged to several book groups and have really enjoyed them. One I belonged to for almost 15 years – I moved so I had to say goodbye but it was really wonderful. And, we didn’t have waiting lists

I think they have a rule of only having ten people per group….but apparently there’s enough people on the waiting list to start a whole new group. Or maybe I should start one of my own?
